Award Programs

Through its award programs, NCCD seeks to acknowledge people whose work is making a difference in the fields of criminal justice, juvenile justice, and child welfare, and that aligns with NCCD’s mission to promote effective, humane, fair, and economically sound solutions to family, community, and justice problems, and to help reduce crime and delinquency.

PASS Awards

The PASS Awards recognize members of the media who try to focus America’s attention on our criminal justice system, juvenile justice system, and child welfare systems in a thoughtful and considerate manner.

Special Recognition Awards

The Special Recognition Awards distinguish academics, elected officials, and community advocates whose work aligns with and expands upon NCCD’s mission.

Don M. Gottfredson Scholarship Fund

The Don M. Gottfredson Scholarship Fund provides a scholarship of $2,000 to a ward or former ward of the juvenile or family court in memory of Don M. Gottfredson.
