CRC emphasizes linking research results to policy development and working with agencies to translate policy into actual practice.

Services provided by CRC include:
Research to identify factors related to continued abuse or neglect of children.
Development of research-based risk assessment instruments.
Working with agency policy groups to develop program protocols and standards for case assessment, planning, and management.
Training for line staff, supervisors, and decision makers (such as administrators, judges, or legislators).
Conducting workload studies to determine the time it actually takes staff to meet agency standards.
Process evaluation and technical assistance to ensure proper implementation.
Technical assistance for agencies developing their own management information systems, or alternatively, collecting agency data and providing routine and specialized management reports.
Outcome evaluation to determine program success.
